Find out why the Soulblight Gravelords dice set is a solid choice for your Death army and what to consider before buying.
Quick answer
For Death army players who want a cohesive tabletop look, the Soulblight Gravelords dice set offers a thematic design with the deathless icon and red ink on black acrylic, but the price is higher than plain dice.
Why themed dice matter for Death armies
Themed dice like the Soulblight Gravelords set add visual consistency to your army, especially on a table full of undead minis. The black acrylic with red markings matches the vampire aesthetic and makes your rolls feel part of the army's identity.
However, themed sets are more expensive than generic dice and the '6' face design (the deathless icon) may be less readable at a glance during fast-paced games. Consider whether the look justifies the cost for your play style.
Decision rules for choosing themed dice
- Visual theme priority: If you value army cohesion and want dice that match your Soulblight Gravelords or Death army, this set delivers with its black/red scheme and faction icon.
- Readability in play: The '6' face uses the deathless icon instead of a numeral. If you prefer quick number recognition during games, consider dice with standard pips or numerals. Check the '6' face design before buying if you play in competitive or fast-paced settings.
- Budget vs. collectibility: At a price higher than plain dice, this set is a collectible item for theme enthusiasts rather than a budget choice. If cost is a concern, plain dice are more economical.
- Set size and use: With 16 dice, you have enough for most Warhammer Age of Sigmar rolls. However, for large unit attacks you may need multiple sets or additional dice.
