The pot’s 12ml size feels small until you realize how far this basecoat goes — that high pigment count means one smooth, matt layer does the work of two from other ranges. Even after thinning it down for the brush, the coverage stays impressively solid on the model.
The coverage is so dense that one thin coat over grey primer completely hides the plastic underneath, and it dries to that smooth matt finish I want before shading. This 12ml pot has lasted me through a whole squad with plenty left for touch-ups.
Coverage is dense enough that one thin coat handles most of the black basecoat work, and the finish dries properly matt without any sheen. Only knock is the 12ml pot runs out quicker than I’d like when batch-painting, but you can’t argue with the pigment load.
