One coat over a white base and the recesses shade themselves, which saves me a ton of time on rank-and-file troops. The 18ml pot is a bit small for how fast I go through it, but the finish on the armor panels is worth it.
One dip of the brush over a white basecoat and my marines already looked tabletop ready. The 18ml pot goes further than I expected since you barely need any for that single-application coverage.
Thinned it down a bit for a smoother coat, but honestly the single application coverage on my Intercessors was spot on—the shading settled right into the recesses without me having to go back and fix anything. This 18ml pot is small, but a little goes a long way for batch painting.
