Wazdakka Red has become my go-to for layering highlights on red armor panels. The water-based formula thins nicely without turning into a watery mess, and the matt finish leaves a clean surface for the next coat. It takes two thin passes to get a solid, vibrant color that really pops.
The red covers so smoothly that I barely need a second pass for clean highlights on my Blood Angels, and it dries to that nice flat matt finish without any chalkiness. Water-based formula makes cleanup a breeze too, just a quick rinse and the brush is good for the next layer.
