Tutorial: Contrast Paints
Bases, shades, and highlights your models with a single application
Water-based formula
Pot size: 18ml
Slapped this grey over a primed marine and had a solid base, shade, and highlight done in one pass, no layering needed. The 18ml pot is small but a little goes a long way since it's water-based and flows into the recesses on its own.
The 18ml pot is smaller than I expected, but a little goes a long way—one pass over the armour gave me base coat plus shading in one go. Perfect for getting five Intercessors done before dinner.
Took me one thin coat to get a smooth base, shaded recesses, and a brighter edge on my Space Wolves infantry—this grey does the work of three paints in one. The 18ml pot is small but lasts longer than you'd think.
