Bandai Hobby Mobile Suit Gundam Model Kit

Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Gunpla with this updated RX-78-2 designed by Kunio Okawara!

Culminating the various technology developed for the HG model kit line over the years, this RX-78-2 balances dynamic articulation with beautiful proportions to push Beyond Global to its limits.

When completed, the RX-78-2 features bending hips and a groin axis that can swing back and forth for smooth battle poses, swiveling shoulder blades that hide the articulation joints, movable wrist blocks that reduce obstruction when holding the shield, and more movement in the chest.

Finally got my hands on this Beyond Global kit and the redesigned proportions by Okawara are spot-on — the torso twists feel way more fluid than my older HGs. Snap fit was tight enough that I barely needed to sand anything, and the panel lines pop even without lining ink.
